Closing Note

If you have read this far, thank you. I wanted these documents to convey the scope of development I was able to complete over roughly six months, and that pace was only possible because of modern AI and LLM-assisted development.

It can feel odd to call a project yours when you did not manually write every line of code. At the same time, that is becoming part of the reality of software development. Just as software moved from assembly into higher-level languages, AI-assisted development represents another jump in abstraction. For people using these tools regularly, that shift already feels normal.

However, my prior development experience has been critical throughout this project. LLMs can move quickly, but they do not always know the best approach to a problem. In many cases, my role has been to guide the architecture, reject overcomplicated solutions, and connect the current work to the larger design as a whole.

One example was object proximity interaction and depth sorting. Suggested approaches included buckets, quicksort-style passes, and node-neighborhood structures. For the scale I was working at, the better answer was much simpler: randomly sample pairs of objects within a fixed budget each frame, let objects maintain a small changing list of nearby neighbors, and allow the ordering to converge as a fuzzy approximation over time. That approach was performant, simple, and worked well for the number of objects involved.

I also built supporting tools specifically for this project, including two texture generators and one audio generator, which helped keep the project moving without depending entirely on external assets.

Before this project, I worked on a number of other projects I would enjoy discussing as well, including games, graphics tools, database systems, automation work, and audio-visualization software. I have also worked in several interesting professional environments, doing a useful variety of software development work.

I am excited to move into the next chapter of my career as a software engineer, and I hope your company can make strong use of my skills and experience. These documents should give a clear picture of the kind of systems I can build, the judgment I bring to technical work, and the way I use modern tools to move quickly while still taking ownership of the result.

I look forward to hearing from you.
